Iron Mountain is seeking a highly analytical Market Intelligence Analyst to join our Customer Experience (CX) and Market Research team.
In this role, you will be responsible for translating market, customer, and buyer dynamics into clear insights and recommendations supported by quantitative and qualitative analysis to fuel our global expansion.
You will work closely with a collaborative global team under the direction of the Director of Customer and Market Insights, directly empowering our Product Marketing and product teams to capture market share and navigate a rapidly evolving industry.
What You’ll Do
In this role, you will:
Market & Competitive Intelligence: Produce actionable insights and recommendations that inform Go-To-Market (GTM) strategy and product roadmaps through competitive, buyer, customer, and market research.
Primary Research Development: Support the development of in-depth interview protocols and quantitative survey instruments based on internal stakeholders' business objectives.
Brand Performance Tracking: Assist in managing and reporting on longitudinal brand tracking studies to measure awareness, sentiment, and equity relative to competitors.
Persona & Messaging Support: Partner with Product Marketing to develop buyer persona profiles and identify competitor target personas to create highly differentiated messaging and positioning.
What You’ll Bring
The ideal candidate will have:
5+ years of experience in market research, competitive intelligence, strategy consulting, or product marketing in a Business-to-Business (B2B) environment.
Strong knowledge of brand health tracking programs and conducting deep secondary research using analyst reports (e.g., Gartner, International Data Corporation [IDC]).
Financial Acumen: Proficiency in Excel/Google Sheets and the ability to interpret financial data (income, balance sheet, regulatory filings) to accurately assess competitor financial health.
AI & Technology Skills: Demonstrated skill in using Generative Artificial Intelligence (AI) tools and Large Language Models (LLMs) to accelerate research and synthesis.
Collaboration & Storytelling: Strong collaboration skills with the proven ability to form and communicate a compelling story through fact-driven insights.
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Economics, Finance, or a related field
