Market Insights Specialist
We’re looking for a data-driven and curious professional to help strengthen our market position by transforming data into strategic insight. The Market Insights Specialist, working in the Market Intelligence team, will play a pivotal role in shaping go-to-market strategies, informing competitive positioning, and identifying emerging opportunities across the Sphera portfolio of solutions.
This role requires someone who combines analytical rigor with strategic thinking — someone eager to influence key business decisions through data-backed market insights. The position will collaborate cross-functionally with product marketing, sales, product management, amongst others to ensure Sphera stays ahead of market dynamics and competitive shifts.

Responsibilities
Market Research and Insights Development
- Conduct quantitative and qualitative market research to track industry trends, growth drivers, and customer needs in the SaaS sector.
- Identify and evaluate new market opportunities, emerging competitors, and potential disruptors.
- Develop clear, data-backed insights to inform product strategy, go-to-market plans, and executive decision-making.
Competitive Intelligence and Benchmarking
- Continuously monitor the competitive landscape, including product offerings, pricing models, marketing strategies, and customer adoption trends.
- Produce and maintain competitor profiles, SWOT analyses, and win/loss insights to enable sales and marketing effectiveness.
- Provide strategic input to help refine value propositions and differentiate our offerings in the market.
Collaboration and Communication
- Work closely with product marketing, product management, demand generation and sales to align intelligence efforts with business priorities.
- Create concise and compelling reports, dashboards, and presentations that translate data into actionable insights.
- Contribute to go-to-market planning by providing timely intelligence on competitors and market trends.
Tools and Data Management
- Leverage data sources such as ZoomInfo and Cognism, and industry reports to gather and validate intelligence from research vendors such as Gartner, Verdantix and Forrester..
- Maintain organized and regularly updated repositories of market and competitive data accessible to cross-functional stakeholders.
Job Requirements
- 1–3 years of experience in market research, business intelligence, or competitive analysis, preferably within the SaaS or technology industry.
- Strong analytical, strategic thinking, and storytelling skills with a focus on transforming data into insights.
- Experience collecting and interpreting data from multiple sources (e.g., analyst reports, public filings, databases, and customer insights).
- Proficiency in Excel, Power BI, Tableau, or similar visualization and analytics tools.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills; ability to distill complex market information into clear, concise narratives for executive audiences.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Economics, Analytics, or a related field or equivalent experience.
- High degree of curiosity and initiative, with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, data-driven environment.
Preferred Skills
- Experience with market intelligence platforms such as Gartner, Crunchbase, or SimilarWeb.
- Understanding of key SaaS business metrics (ARR, churn, CAC, ACV, etc.).
- Familiarity with segmentation analysis (company size, industry, region, etc.)
- Familiarity with CRM and marketing systems such as Salesforce, HubSpot, or Pardot.
- Experience supporting B2B go-to-market teams or strategic planning functions.
Pay:
$69,000.00 - $103,000.00 + Eligible for Variable Compensation PlanCommensurate with relevant qualifications and experience
