CHANEL Japan is seeking a Market Insight Specialist to collect, analyze, and synthesize luxury market and luxury consumer data into clear insights that guide action and decision-making. This role requires the ability to analyze market conditions, communicate with clarity, build trust with stakeholders, and demonstrate a strong understanding of the brand philosophy.
As a Market Insight Specialist, you will support business teams and report to the Research and Insights Manager. Your main responsibilities will include:
- Lead analysis and generate implications from luxury market, high-net-worth individual (HNWI), luxury buyer, and competitor performance intelligence in Japan.
- Conduct market landscape analysis, outlook reviews, and case studies to support business decision-making.
- Localize global studies through discussion and collaboration with global teams.
- Provide data-based recommendations for marketing, communications, and retail excellence teams across the company.
- Create and deliver market reports, fact sheets, and presentations to communicate the latest findings to stakeholders.
- Act as a key point of contact for internal stakeholders regarding market intelligence data.
- Partner with cross-functional corporate and business teams, as well as external agencies.
Requirements:
- 2–3 years of experience in measurement, market research, business analytics, or a related field.
- Previous experience in market intelligence within consumer goods or the luxury industry is a plus.
- Strong analytical skills, an ownership mindset, and execution capabilities.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to transform complex information into actionable insights.
- Native-level Japanese and business-level English, with the ability to read, write, and present reports in both Japanese and English.
