Legrand has an exciting opportunity for a Market Development Services Representative to join the Electrical Wiring Systems Team. This is a remote position reporting to Mascoutah, IL. The Primary responsibility is to identify/qualify key contacts and potential sales leads in order to facilitate the identification of business opportunities. The Market Development Services Function maintains contact with Legrand field sales partners and is the primary user of Salesforce.com (SFDC), Customer Relationship Management Software.

What Will You Do?

  • For a defined territory and other leads as assigned, initiate communication via telemarketing, email, social media, etc. for the promotion of Legrand in order to augment the building of company-to-company relationships and to support the field activities for Legrand.
  • Understand the Legrand’s goals and strategies to enhance the company’s performance and growth.
  • Build and maintain collaborative relationships with Legrand field sales.  
  • Develop a thorough understanding of the company’s people and their capabilities.
  • Make the initial contact with firms identified from Industry Databases, the Legrand preferred database, research, or leads generated through Legrand marketing efforts. As appropriate, identify/qualify the correct contacts, make presentations on solutions that anticipate customers’ needs and any other activities that will ensure a robust pipeline of sales opportunities for Legrand field sales.
  • Ensure that data is accurately entered and managed within the company CRM.
  • Train Sales force on usage of the database/ software.
  • Keep current the project database.
  • Ensure users are following through and documenting their activities in SFDC.
  • Maintain high skill level of report and dashboard creation/maintenance.
  • Maintains extensive knowledge of Salesforce and its functionality as it relates to Legrand field sales.
  • Act as first level of support for EWS field sales.
  • Additional Responsibilities may arise through the development of above listed items. 
Qualifications

Education/Experience:

  • Three to Five years' experience in inside sales or customer service or associate's degree in business or marketing. 

Skills/Knowledge/Abilities:

  • Exceptional computer skills, extensive knowledge of word processing, spreadsheet, presentation and database software, proficiency with various e-mails, calendaring, meeting management and related communications software. CRM software experience strongly preferred.
  • Must be highly collaborative and able to work in a team-based environment.        
  • Must be able to handle all types of personalities and relate to people at all levels of the organization.
  • Very high-quality telephone presentation skills, communication skills, and communication of information are the key characteristics the incumbent must possess
  • Must have excellent verbal and written communications skills and be able to communicate effectively across all levels of the organization. Able to provide clear and concise information and create effective reports, presentations and business correspondence.  
  • Requires strong organizational and time management skills, close attention to detail and be able to effectively handle multiple priorities.  
  • Independent judgment is required to plan, prioritize, organize and accomplish a diversified work load. Able to evaluate situations, identify options and implement effective solutions quickly and efficiently.  
  • Knowledge of Salesforce/CRM tools. 

Salary Range: $48,000-$57,000. Actual salary offered will vary based on applicant’s relevant skills, education, experience, certifications, as well as other business and organizational needs.
