The Chief Data Office in close partnership with key business stakeholders will support the transformation of the organization to ensure data is leveraged as a strategic asset supporting our business goals. The group’s objectives include:
- A single, central source for data which is easy to access and describes how the data was obtained
- Data quality continually monitored and accuracy improved
- Common standards and policies for data governance
- Flexible reporting tools to access data and adapt to changing business or regulatory requirements
This position will play a key role in supporting the Market Data Operations team across day‑to‑day activities and longer‑term strategic initiatives. Core responsibilities include gathering and translating business requirements from stakeholders, tracking and optimizing market data spend, performing data analysis and reconciliations, and identifying opportunities to enhance operational efficiency. This role will also contribute actively to our digital transformation agenda.
The analyst will collaborate with a broad spectrum of business partners (e.g. Investment teams, Risk, Performance, Procurement) and gain exposure to a wide range of market data services such as ESG, ratings, pricing, research, index, real estate, reference data etc.

Position Responsibilities:
- Support the Market Data Operations team by facilitating market data requests and contract renewal activities, performing data analysis and reconciliation, reviewing invoices, conducting user polling, and assisting with ongoing investigations.
- Work with business units globally to manage demand, understand their needs, identify current/future requirements.
- Build a strong partnership with stakeholders across the organization and gain a solid understanding of Market Data services.
- Serve as a point of contact for user issues; triage, troubleshoot, and coordinate resolution with vendors and internal teams.
- Gather and organize data to produce metrics and reporting related to market data consumption; maintain, enhance, and expand data‑driven dashboards to monitor market data spend trends over time.
- Actively contribute to initiatives that streamline processes and enhance operational efficiency across contract renewal activities, user management, invoice validation, and intake workflows, leveraging AI capabilities and Power Apps to drive automation and continuous improvement.
- Identify duplicative data sources, and look for ways to maximize utilization of the data we already have to ultimately deliver incremental cost efficiencies.
- Understand how the data ecosystem is structured and how data is integrated and transformed across different platforms.
- When presented with problems or reporting needs, identify data and analytical process necessary to address them.
- Ability to generate impactful, actionable insights based on iterative data analysis, translate data-driven output into business language, and make appropriate recommendations.
- Contribute to the development and execution of the division’s data strategy that enables the most effective use of the data assets.
- Collaborate with all groups within the Chief Data Office to ensure alignment across data functions and on target delivery of the group’s goals.
- Bring forward new ideas, challenges to the status quo without a specific business request.
- Continuously enhance knowledge within area of expertise and keep current with industry trends and business direction.
Required Qualifications:
- Undergraduate degree in business, finance, computer science or a quantitative discipline.
- Prior experience in the financial industry in Market Data, Operations, or Data Management is preferred.
- A comprehensive understanding of market data vendors (e.g. Bloomberg, MSCI, Factset, Morningstar, S&P, etc.) and services is a nice to have.
- Strong ability working with multidisciplinary teams to deliver complex initiatives and align business needs with data solutions.
- Must have solid technical skills, particularly within the Microsoft Office suite, with expert Excel capabilities.
- Experience with databases, query/programming languages, data visualization tools (e.g., Power BI), and data analysis is a significant plus for this position.
- Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy, with strong logical and technical problem‑solving skills; able to analyze complex data, identify inconsistencies, and provide data‑driven recommendations.
- Excellent communication skills and a collaborative mindset; able to clarify ambiguous situations and drive efficient outcomes.
- Strong organizational skills with the capacity to balance competing priorities and manage tasks independently.

Salary range is expected to be between
$62,850.00 CAD - $104,750.00 CADEmployees also have the opportunity to participate in incentive programs and earn incentive compensation tied to business and individual performance.
