The Role

ABOUT THIS POSITION

We are looking for an ambitious and detail-oriented Market Data Analyst to uncover key insights around client and prospect data that will enable Waystar to effectively market to new clients and expand our relationship with existing clients. This role will use a variety of techniques to collect critical client and prospect attributes, map organizational landscapes, sizing, and identify incumbent competitive solutions.
This position is ideal for someone who enjoys digging into and analyzing data, as this role will focus heavily on building and revising detailed client and prospect profiles to better inform our marketing and sales strategies, ensuring Waystar is equipped with the knowledge to effectively reach and engage target audiences.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

What You’ll Do

  • Query assigned accounts in an individual territory via online sources, email, or phone to validate and augment data for specified fields such as website, business type, current technologies, budget cycle, etc. within Salesforce.
  • Identify gaps in client and prospect information and implement strategies to close them.
  • Partner with Commercial Operations and Sales team members to prioritize accounts that require data enrichment.
  • Review and validate newly created information and data from other team members and external sources, ensuring accuracy and consistency across client and prospect profiles.
  • Assess the effectiveness and accuracy of new/purchased data sources and data gathering techniques.
  • Develop custom data models and algorithms to apply to data sets and obtain key intelligence on prospects, clients, and competitors.
  • Ensure compliance with data privacy and security standards in all research and collection activities.

WHAT YOU'LL NEED

What You’ll Need

  • Strong problem-solving skills with an emphasis on sales database cleanliness
  • Intense attention to detail and the ability to comb through data with efficiency and accuracy
  • Experience using statistical computer languages to manipulate and draw insights from large data sets
  • A drive to learn and master new technologies and techniques
  • Effective presentation, organizational, planning, and interpersonal skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with Waystar team members, prospects, and clients
  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, Communications, or other relevant field
  • 2-4 years of experience in a data, business, or sales analyst role preferred
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)
  • Familiarity with Salesforce, Zoominfo, Definitive Healthcare, PowerBI is a plus
