We are looking for a Market Data Analyst to join our global Market Data Services team based in London. This position reports directly to our Global Head of Market Data Services and sits within the wider global COO function.

In this role you will be responsible for supporting a variety aspects of market data used by the firm. The team provides support in choosing the right product, onboarding new vendors and data products to the business in a timely fashion, ensuring compliance and reporting are maintained as well as supporting the business with raising data queries to providers.

The role will suit an individual who is self-motivated and who is able to adopt a methodical, logical, and creative approach to new challenges.

Your future role within QRT includes:

  • Contract management
  • Maintaining accurate information in the Inventory database for example: updating prices records, usernames, departments
  • Leading vendor relationships: interacting with key external suppliers to request information and resolve day-to-day queries for the business
  • Regulatory requirements, such as month end related activities including reporting to exchanges
  • Support new tooling used by the Market Data team, to maximise efficiency
  • Wide range of projects related to Market Data as required
  • Maintaining and organising an accurate database of current and historical contracts, ensuring clear links to pricing records, user banding limits etc
  • Preparing audits as required
  • Ensuring accurate, timely processing and reconciliation of market data invoices, following the procurement cycle

Your present skillset:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent industry experience
  • Experience working with exchanges and data vendorsg. LSE, NYSE, Nasdaq, Bloomberg, FactSet, LSEG Data and Analytics, etc
  • Experience of permissioning systems such as DACS and EMRS
  • Knowledge of Jira ticketing and workflow systems (Atlassian suite)
  • Experienced working knowledge of reference data, market data and index data with a specific focus on non-display usage
  • Ability to analyse and interpret data contracts and to present essential information in a meaningful manner
  • Detail oriented; comfortable keeping records in online systems eg Coupa
  • Knowledge of inventory management systems such as MDM and an understanding of access controls and system provisioning is desirable but not essential
  • An awareness of the financial services or investing sector
  • Ability to communicate key information quickly and effectively at the "headline" and detailed level
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and tasks; proven organisational and project management skills in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to self manage and self motivate
  • Forge and strengthen relationships with new and existing vendors, global MDS team, wider central functions and the business
  • Experience within a similar firm a plus
