Job Description
We are currently seeking a Senior Analyst, Data Scouting to join our Technology and Operations, Data Scouting team. This role is pivotal in supporting end-to-end data procurement and vendor management, with a strong emphasis on database administration.
Reporting to the Director of Data Scouting, the Senior Analyst will play an integral role in supporting the market data database administration and controls. The Senior Analyst will assist the team in the following ways:
- Handle day-to-day administrative inquiries from internal business units and our lead analysts, including but not limited to; moves/adds/changes requests, inventory management, expense allocation, and when required assist with invoices reconciliation.
- Keep an updated inventory of contracts, services, pricing, users, and vendors. Perform month-end reconciliations and ensure that our data is always accurate and current.
- Manages data entitlements and real-time data feed authorizations as appropriate, liaises with the team to ensure appropriate data license documentation is in place and approved.
- Assists when required to process end to end invoice reconciliation against inventory, validate costs, explain variances, to ensure timely payment of supplier invoices
- Responds to payment inquiries from supplier accounts receivable groups
- Applies analytical skills to investigate discrepancies and determine appropriate course of action in a timely manner
- Develops and maintains strong business relationships; inspires confidence and uses judgement to provides advice related to analysis
- Takes on an ownership mentality around the function
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications
Relevant experience in financial services or market data or work experience in consulting is preferred. Knowledge of FITS/MDSL inventory systems is preferred.
Experience working with Market Data vendors such as Bloomberg, FactSet, Exchanges
Excellent communication and task/time management skills are preferred. Display a high level of time management skills to manage multiple and elaborate requests simultaneously.
