The role of an analyst at Eightcap sits at the intersection of market analysis, PR, and content creation. You will support Eightcap’s marketing and communications output with daily commentary, educational content, partner insights, video commentary, market commentary interviews and PR materials.
You will be the face of Eightcap to media for commentary and help shape how Eightcap talks about the markets, from breaking news and economic events to longer-term themes. Your analysis will power our client communications, partner resources, internal communications and media engagement.
This is an excellent opportunity for a market analyst to grow into a visible market voice in one of the most dynamic areas of fintech.
Key Responsibilities:
- Produce daily and weekly commentary across FX, indices, commodities, stocks and crypto markets for Eightcap’s website, socials, emails and PR
- Produce bite-sized commentary for all Eightcap staff, providing them with the opportunity to upskill and enhance market knowledge.
- Deliver reactive commentary during major economic events, rate decisions and market volatility for journalists and clients.
- Identifying trending stories and translating data into clear, accessible insights for traders and media.
- Participating in client seminars and webinars for market insights
- Presenting at premium client lunches for client engagement and insightful discussions on the market
- Representing the Eightcap brand on panel discussions and any events that need a market commentary presenter.
- Run lunch and learn sessions providing knowledge on economic behaviour and impact on market movements to staff.
- Write and edit educational articles, trade ideas, trade week ahead and market explainers tailored to retail traders and partners.
- Write and edit quarterly market insights reports, working with data and insights gathered.
- Collaborate with marketing to create market reports and newsletters that enhance client engagement
- Create video commentary for Eightcap’s TikTok, Instagram reels and YouTube channels that enhance client engagement and grow Eightcap’s brand presence
- Support the B2B partnerships with any market analysis needs they might have for their clients
- Work with designers to create charts, visuals or short-form video scripts that support analytical storytelling.
- Maintaining and creating trading content for our TradingView profile'
- Provide data-driven commentary and quotes that focus on technical and fundamental analysis for journalists.
- Collaborate with the PR manager to develop press releases, insights and campaign ideas around major market themes
- Monitor competitors, macroeconomic trends, and trading data to uncover newsworthy insights.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Commerce, Financial Journalism, or related discipline.
- 3-5 years of experience in financial markets or research
- Strong understanding of global markets, including FX, indices, commodities, stocks and crypto.
- Knowledge of CFDs is preferable
- Excellent writing and communication skills, you can explain market moves clearly for both traders and the media, both verbally and in writing.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work under tight deadlines.
- Confident using data to support analysis and storytelling.
- Experience using TradingView, MetaTrader, or similar platforms is an advantage.
- Familiarity with SEO content or financial PR is a plus.
