Reporting to the Regional Team Lead of Data Solutions, you will join a highly motivated, multi-disciplinary team of real estate professionals. The Data Solutions team is looking for a Market Analyst who wants to contribute to the reliability and accuracy of our residential database. This is an opportunity for someone who thrives in an autonomous role, who is a go-getter and clear communicator.
Key Responsabilities
- Liaise with stakeholders and brokers to gather value-added metrics via verbal, email, or in-person communication for secondary research.
- Review and validate data sources, including broker reports, municipal websites, press releases, to support secondary research.
- Resolve daily data issues to maintain data quality and meet market standards through verbal communication and monitoring secondary data sources.
- Enter, update, and manage research data in the system, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
- Conduct regular data audits, identify data quality issues, and escalate to Team Lead as necessary.
- Prepare source data for primary research, ensuring it is accurate and complete.
- Manage historical data updates, including area changes, classification changes, construction status, and deletions.
- Resolve client inquiries about data records and processes in a timely manner, escalating to appropriate teams when needed.
- Establish and maintain industry relationships via networking and real estate events to improve data cooperation and acquisition.
- Gain product competency by completing training for core Data Solutions products and conducting secondary research as required.
Key Qualifications
- University degree in Real Estate, business, marketing, or related field
- No experience required, this is a junior position and will get coached/trained appropriately
- Any real estate experience is an asset
- Valid driver’s license is required; access to a vehicle is an asset
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to be detail oriented and organized
- Excellent interpersonal skills, able to establish trusted relationships with industry professionals
- Proficient in use of database and word processing applications including Excel, Word and PowerPoint
