Job DescriptionWe are currently looking for a new colleague to join the Energy Trading division of the Ignitis Group, where you’ll be responsible for turning market data into strategic trading insights, automating analytics processes, and optimizing commercial decision-making tools. You will contribute to secure and green energy ecosystem creation by:
- Analyzing energy and financial markets to identify price drivers, trends, risks and trading opportunities
- Developing and improving forecasting, market analysis and trading tools to support commercial decision-making
- Analyzing trading strategies and business performance and turning data into clear, actionable insights
- Automating analysis, reporting and operational processes, while helping ensure reliable and well-structured team data
- Working closely with traders and other teams to improve processes, tools and data-driven ways of working
- University degree in Economics, finance, econometrics, mathematics, statistics, data science, computer science, engineering or a related field
- Strong analytical and critical-thinking skills, with the ability to structure complex information and draw clear conclusions
- Good working knowledge of MS Excel and basic knowledge of Python, SQL, Power BI, VBA, Power Query or other data and analytical tools and willingness to further develop programming and data-analysis skills
- Interest in energy or financial markets, trading and quantitative analysis, with curiosity and willingness to learn
- Excellent command of written and spoken Lithuanian and English, with the ability to communicate findings clearly
Would be an advantage:
- Experience with energy, commodity or financial market data, forecasting, derivatives or risk analysis
- Experience building analytical models, dashboards, APIs or automated data pipelines
- Familiarity with modern development practices and tools such as Git, REST APIs, workflow automation and AI-assisted coding tools
