Job Description Summary
-The Market Access and Public Affairs Head is a critical position for the Sandoz Greece organization. As member of the local SLT, he/she is fully responsible for all Market Access and Public Affairs activities necessary to ensure the smooth execution of pricing, reimbursement and launch processes of the organization’s generics and biosimilar products and to shape the company’s Public Affairs strategy. Furthermore, he/she is responsible to lead, develop and drive the implementation of the country’s overall Portfolio and Launches strategy and ensures the company has a product portfolio that meets market expectations, contributes to the continuity and sustainability of the company's business and is aligned with local and global strategic directions.Job Description
Major accountabilities:
- Market Access & Tenders
- Develops and drives implementation of market access strategy to drive Sandoz growth and overall priorities
- Is the main point of contact with public healthcare stakeholders
- Leads and oversees the creation, submission and monitoring of all value dossiers to HTA / Reimbursement / Negotiation / Payers committees as needed to ensure launch acceleration
- Is the expert in pricing and reimbursement policies and legislation
- Builds and drives an innovative approach to Market Access strategies and effective coordination for new generics, hybrid and biosimilar products.
- Supports business growth and overall priorities by ensuring timely and effective market access of new launches
- Expert on the legislation and respective changes regarding generics, hybrids and biosimilar products
- Expert in local pricing, reimbursement & HTA policies and legislation
- Ensures compliance in all Market Access interactions throughout the organization; ensures all activities are in line with internal and external policies & guidelines
- Contributes with input to the financial planning of the company
- Develops the tenders’ channel with potential for major impact on the long-term growth and profitability of Sandoz

- Identifies key stakeholders in the health system (legislation, payers, pricing, reimbursement), prepares their mapping and engagement plan

- Conducts analyses of legislative initiatives, assesses risks and opportunities for the company, according to the project and implements a strategy/action plan

- Together with the Country Head shapes the company’s public affairs strategy and the company’s position and argumentation on key topics
- Creates the relevant stakeholders mapping and engagement plan
- Develops and implements strategy for interaction with public authorities and other relevant stakeholders/policy makers
- Keeps abreast of macroeconomic, policy and healthcare developments, assesses their impact and performs relevant analyses in collaboration with Finance and the BUs
- Interacts with key government bodies to ensure a comprehensive and systematic approach to managing public pharmaceutical budget challenges and provides predictability to the company's business over the long term
- Represents the Company and ensures its participation in the most important socio-political and heath policy events (organization and coordination of special events, conferences, round tables, etc.)
- Becomes active member of local industry association, where he/she represents the company and its positions
- Defines the support that Sandoz Global/Europe can offer to the local trade association
- Positions Sandoz as a leading pharmaceutical company and healthcare provider to the Authorities
- Develops and implements media plans and campaigns, develops professional relationships with key health, economic and business journalists and media organizations

- Oversees planning, monitoring and execution of all country launches – both in Retail and Biosimilar BU’s – to ensure first-to-market execution
- Leads Portfolio Strategy for BUs and Country Strategic Planning
