Job Description:
Main responsibilities
Develop access strategy in high value accounts
Design and implement tailored account plans based on a deep understanding of payer segmentation and financial dynamics, ensuring strategic approaches that effectively support the adoption and implementation of our value proposition.
Plan, develop and implement access strategies aligned to Health Authority requirements, to ensure that the company achieves strategic business objectives and financial goals.
Strategic thinking, understanding payers, health authorities, KOL needs, identify issues and opportunities, develop targeted multifaceted solutions, find ways to operate differently by focusing on high added value tasks.
Build relevant, solid value arguments to lead in payer and targeted high value account visits.
Execute access strategy
Actively lead/engage in negotiations of product listing/ funding approvals within targeted high value accounts. Drive key tactics and adhere to commercial pricing policy to maximize net price and revenue balancing short- and long-term perspective.
Craft compelling value narratives tailored to the profiles of payers and stakeholders, aimed at driving organizational change and overcoming access barriers to ensure patient availability of our products.
Maintain a rigorous contact schedule with payers (HMOS) and Health Secretaries to ensure access of Company portfolio.
Deliver market access product value propositions, programs and market responses to better position and influence favorable access and patient persistency.
Stakeholder Engagement and Influence
Develop comprehensive stakeholder mapping for each account, including healthcare organizations (HCOs), to identify key decision-makers and influencers, enabling value-driven engagements that support the positioning of IPSEN’s portfolio.
Analyze each therapeutic category situation in terms of coverage and reimbursement of Ipsen products, existing and emerging payer policies, competitive landscape trends, pricing and contracting strategies, potential barriers to provider and patient access, opportunities to influence improved outcomes.
Search and collect permanent information according to the needs of the key accounts, for example: epidemiological profile, critical pathways of the pathologies of interest, authorization and dispensing processes of medicines, tenders, etc.
Identify risks of the target market and propose mitigation strategies.
Build public market access expertise
Effectively interface with Key Local Health Authorities to represent Ipsen Colombia interests and to identify issues and opportunities to develop targeted solutions if needed.
Develop sustainable and responsible relationships with Key Health Secretaries, mapping and keeping the panel of decision makers and processes up to date. Especially because of the importance they have in making decisions in the Subsidized Regime.
Be a true business partner
Ensure the cross functional cooperation regarding all questions about Health Economics, value propositions and reimbursement and commercial processes.
Stay up to date with the most recent changes in health legislation, for an adequate approach with payers and to support the team
Ethics & Compliance
Ensure market access plans developed, implemented, and effectively administered are consistent with Ipsen’s corporate guidance and all regulatory, legal, ethical SOPs.
Knowledge, abilities & experience
Education / Certifications (Minimum required):
Minimum university degree, ideally in Business Administration, Economics, health-care related disciplines, or others, supplemented by relevant work experience.
Postgraduate degrees related to Pharmacoeconomics and market access in this field of work will be highly valued.
Experience:
Proven track record of working with specialized pharmaceutical products.
Experience in managing payers strategic accounts and knowledge of specialty care markets with complex science and reimbursement.
Experience working within an environment of strict compliance to all appropriate regulatory guidelines to successfully design and execute tactics, programs and tools that achieve business objectives.
Successful experience in the launch of new products is highly desirable.
Specialty care, oncology/neuroscience/rare disease knowledge and experience in a pharmaceutical industry environment are highly desirable.
Extensive field experience with payers (HMO, HCO, Wholesalers and/ or Health Secretaries).
This individual must be an accomplished executive with at least 3-4 years of experience leading market access related initiatives (Reimbursement, Value Proposition, Pricing & Contracting, Payor Account Management, Tenders, etc.).
An alternative can be profiles with a minimum of 4 years of experience in Health Care System, for example in administrative positions in the health area of HMOs, HCOs, Prepaid Medicine Companies, Special Regimes, health policies or in access businesses in the pharmaceutical industry, in institutional management and/or public contract.
This individual must possess strong leadership and team building skills along with excellent commercial and business acumen. A solid understanding of the industry’s complex regulatory requirements and an absolute commitment to competing on the highest ethical level are essential.

Fluent in Spanish
Minimum intermediate level writing and verbal in English – B2
