Job Description
The Market Access Lead leads, develops and executes the market access strategy and programs for the affiliate driving business results through added value strategies to engage with the payers / accounts, institutions, and government stakeholders to position BIIB’s portfolio. The person will support local tactical pricing, adopt global evidence package to support local health technology assessment and reimbursement submissions, engaging cross-functionally with multiple stakeholders. The role will support the market access strategies for current market products and new products launch.
The Market Access Lead has a deep understanding of the local healthcare system and political and economic environment, with market access expertise; is able to contribute to shaping the healthcare environment. In addition, this job is part of the local Leadership Team and contributes to the overall performance of the local affiliate.
Responsibilities:
1. Identify & address access barriers and healthcare policy trends and evaluate their impacts on all of Biogen’s therapeutic areas.
2. Ensure market access excellence by striving for the optimal pricing, reimbursement and launch timing in collaboration with global, regional, and local cross-functional teams.
3. Identify and support key strategies to facilitate optimal market access for new products and to maintain/optimize market access for existing products and pipeline.
4. Leads the Market Access team in the activities of HEOR evidences, technical dossiers, Market Access Tools, models, sales and Pricing Strategy to support reimbursement and Market Access Strategy.
5. Build up a sustainable relationship and develop engagement plan with healthcare authorities, policy makers and payers.
6. Guarantee full compliance of policies and procedures related to management and documentation of all business decisions and interactions.
Qualifications
1. Graduate/College degree in healthcare sciences, economics, business or similar.
2. Minimum 3-5 years’ experience in high-cost diseases or a minimum of 3 years’ experience in market access.
3. Experience in local market required..
4. Deep knowledge of the health care system.
5. Experienced in developing payer policy and strategies.
6. Experience as people manager.
7. English proficiency.
