What does success look like?

This role supports Market access activities in the UK, Ireland and Nordic region (UKIN) and is part of the Global Market Access function. The role project manages strategically important workstreams which provide opportunities for coverage, reimbursement and adoption of S+N technologies. This role coordinates and leads projects, develops and executes plans to create, optimize and defend reimbursement/funding and engages directly with economic decision-makers and payers. The MAM parterns closely with colleagues in Global Clinical Strategy, Evidence Analysis and Communications, Health Economics as well as in-market commercial colleagues.

What will you be doing?

  • Finding opportunities for improved coverage/overcoming barriers to market access for S&N products and strategies to address these.
  • Coordinating local Healthcare Technology Assessment applications and negotiations to ensure timely market access within target price.
  • Developing and managing external consultants who may be needed to support our strategic projects.
  • Adapting value propositions to create focused and relevant payer messages for the local market and healthcare system.
  • Working closely with Clinical strategy colleagues to define evidence requirements for successful market access in the market.
  • Support clinical teams in site identification, input into protocol needs, for any in-market studies.

Your Background

The successful candidate will need agility to support fast-moving projects in a sometimes ambiguous environment and will need excellent project management skills to co-ordinate the multiple teams involved. The individual will also need to work autonomously and have the insight to identify new opportunities that may benefit customers and S+N.

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Life Sciences or Economics
  • 3-4 + years of experience in healthcare with at least 2 years in a marketing, market access, clinical or commercial function
  • Knowledge of the funding process at National and Regional level in UK for medical devices.
  • Project management experience.
  • “Make it happen” mentality, curiosity and motivation, persistence to achieve goals.
  • Availability to travel up to 25% - 50% of the time.
