Job Description
General Summary:
The Market Access Field Manager will deep understand the end-to-end access pathways in CF and seek for partnerships with stakeholders from healthcare system strategic to unlock barriers and increase value in CF care. This role is responsible for creating access strategies at State level in accordance with the integrated market access plan and executing key tactics to maximize access to Cystic Fibrosis (CF) portfolio and pipeline, in line with Vertex’s goals and strategies.
This is a field based role that also required 10% time spent at our office located in Sao Paulo.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- Deep dive on CF access journey in public markets and understand healthcare system needs (barriers, opportunities and risks).
- Apply strong analytical skills on scenario analysis and planning exercises to drive solutions to maximize patients’ access to Vertex’s portfolio.
- Build value-added solutions to healthcare system in partnership with strategic stakeholders, including but not limited to policymakers, payers and regulators.
- Coordinate value-added solutions with cross-functional team to strengthen healthcare system, unlock access barriers and maximize number of eligible patients on CF treatments.
- Establish strong relationships with policymakers, payers and regulators.
- Work closely to commercial and medical team to maximize patient access to Vertex’s portfolio in a States Secretariats and CF centers level.
- Work collaboratively with cross-functional team and ensure market access perspective is adequately represented in business discussions.
Knowledge and Skills:
- Experience in rare diseases
- Understanding of the health system dynamics and access pathways.
- Creativity and address challenges through innovation.
- Strong persuasive and interpersonal skills to establish partnerships.
- Strong communication skills and ability to adapt to different audiences.
- Workload management to meet deadlines under challenging time constraints.
- Upper-intermediate English is required.
- Field-based position (10% of the time in the office located in Sao Paulo).
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in relevant field
- Deep understanding of health system dynamics and needs
- Field experience with States Secretariats and policymakers.
The jobholder will work and travel in the following Brazilian states:
São Paulo, Mina Gerais, Rio Grande do Sul, Distrito Federal and Cerara.
