ABOUT THE ROLE
Based in Dubai Head Office and reporting to the VP Commercial & Tendering – Offshore Services, the Commercial Development Manager - Offshore will drive business growth and maximize revenue opportunities through effective commercial strategies, develop and manage client relationships, secure new contracts, expand the fleet, and ensure the profitability of offshore vessel operations.
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES
Business Development
• Identify and pursue new business opportunities in the offshore oil and gas sector.
• Conduct market research to identify emerging trends and potential customers.
• Develop and implement strategies to expand the company's market share and revenue streams.
• Take charge of establishing new entities in developing nations.
Contract Management
• Lead contract negotiations, ensuring favourable terms and conditions and in alignment with the company’s policies and financial objectives.
• Draft, review, and finalize commercial agreements, including charter party contracts.
• Manage contract administration, including monitoring compliance and addressing any issues.
Financial Performance
• Develop pricing strategies to optimize vessel utilization and maximize profitability.
• Track revenue, costs, and expenses related to vessel operations.
• Prepare financial forecasts and reports, highlighting key performance indicators.
• Implement cost control measures and identify opportunities for operational efficiencies
Relationship Management
• Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with clients, industry stakeholders, and regulatory bodies.
• Address client inquiries, concerns, and feedback promptly and effectively.
• Collaborate with operational teams to ensure seamless service delivery and client satisfaction.
• Represent the company at industry conferences, events, and client meetings.
Vessel S&P (Sale and Purchase)
• Negotiate and close ship sale and purchase deals, including sourcing financing and exploring M&A opportunities.
• Oversee preparation of sales and purchase contracts, ensuring compliance with maritime laws.
QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE
Minimum Qualifications and Experience:
• Bachelor’s degree in business, engineering, or a related field (MBA preferred).
• Proven experience in a commercial management role within the offshore oil and gas industry.
• Sound knowledge of vessel operations, including PSVs, AHTS, and crew boats.
• Demonstrated success in business development and contract negotiations.
• Minimum of 5 years’ Offshore Support Vessels (OSV) experience with oil and gas industries in a Chartering / Commercial Management role.
