We are looking for a Marine Coordinator. This role is responsible for coordination of various duties to support Marine Operations. This role will include collaboration between shore and shipboard teams to ensure the highest level of collaboration is always maintained, and any action items are closed to drive operational success. This position will monitor and prioritize tasks and workload required for the Marine Operations Department. In addition to supporting the administration for the department. This position will manage marine Key Performance Indicators and report accordingly. This position will report to the Director Marine Operations.

Responsibilities: 

  • Administrative support to Director Marine Operations and Marine Operations team for daily task prioritization. 

  • Book required cabins for Marine operational needs, including management of pilot cabins and coordinating with the fleet.

  • Administers Marine Information Network (MIN) and itinerary support.

  • Manages Chart and Folio budgets and operational cost reviews

  • Coordinate and book travel, process travel expense/p-card purchases, and invoice coding.

  • Supports and facilitates Marine Operations meetings and coordinates action items.

  • Aids in production of operational presentations and reaches out to stakeholders accordingly.

  • Coordinates and produces all Marine KPI’s

 

Knowledge & Skills:

  • Understanding of Administrative support on a large scale organization. Skills in computers including Microsoft suite. High level or organizational skills.      

  • Knowledge of Microsoft Applications (i.e. Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio), Adobe Acrobat, Internet navigation, and standard Windows operating tools.

  • Type 50 wpm and 10-key

  • Operate standard office equipment (i.e. scanner, copier, printers). 

  • Knowledge of Power Bi (not required, however preferred)

 

For all roles:

  • Knowledge: Understanding of workplace policies and procedures / Familiarity with team collaboration tools and techniques.

  • Skills: Strong time management and organizational skills

  • Abilities: Ability to maintain reliable and consistent attendance / Capacity to be punctual and meet deadlines / Ability to collaborate effectively with colleagues and work as part of a team / Demonstrated professionalism in all interactions and tasks.

 

Essential/Minimum Qualifications:

  • Associates Degree or equivalent experience.

 

Essential Experience Required:

  • Minimum 3 years as an administrative support. 

  • Worked in the cruise industry

 

 

Travel:   No or very little travel likely

Work Conditions: Work primarily in a climate-controlled environment with minimal safety/health hazard potential.

Physical Demands: Work beyond normal business hours or on weekends may be required occasionally to support business needs, projects, or operations.

This position is classified as “in-office.”  As an in-office role, it requires employees to work from a designated Carnival office in South Florida Monday through Thursday each week. Employees may work from their homes on Fridays.
