Margin Manager is responsible for driving margin enhancement for the west region within the Building Products division

PREFERRED WORK EXPERIENCE

-3 years working in a pricing, margin management or similar role focused on enhancing profitability. 

Other qualifications, certifications, professional memberships, etc. 

-Bachelor's degree

-Moderate to Advanced skills in Microsoft excel

-Proficient in other Microsoft Office products (PowerPoint, Power Bi, Word)

-Experience with Agility a plus.

-Other responsibilities and projects as assigned.

Essential Job Duties & Responsibilities

-Support SVP with price and margin related activities

-Engage with Regional Managers, Regional Sales Mangers, VPs, and SVP to analyze, prioritize and execute on margin enhancing opportunities via pricing

-Drive insight creation, impact tracking and reporting of margins

-Support price change activities

-Manage at least two pricing coordinators

-Must be an influencer and capable of becoming the trusted advisor on margin enhancing price activity for the operating business

Skills/Specialized & Education

-Advanced level Microsoft Excel

-Strong business acumen

-Experience in the Building Products Industry

-Experience in Agility Software a plus

EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS

-4 year college degree, MBA a plus

ADDITIONAL JOB DIMENSIONS

ASSOCIATED RISKS: Looking at screens for long periods of time. 

BUSINESS ACCOUNTABILITY: accountable for driving margin improvement across the broader Building Products portfolio

FINANCIAL ACCOUNTABILITY: Gross Margin % of net sales 

TYPICAL DIRECT REPORTS: At least two

INTERNAL RELATIONSHIPS: Reports to Director of Pricing, indirect responsibility to Building Products regional leadership

TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS: 2-3 days once or twice per month

WORK ENVIRONMENT: home office capable or office in branch location in region
