Responsabilidades

Machinist position responsibilities include, but are not limited to:


We are seeking a skilled Machinist to set up and operate manual and/or CNC machines to produce precision parts according to engineering drawings, specifications, and quality standards. The machinist will be responsible for machining, inspecting, and troubleshooting parts while maintaining safe work practices and keeping equipment in good working condition.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Set up and operate manual and/or CNC machines (mills, lathes, grinders, etc.)
  • Read and interpret blueprints, shop drawings, and work instructions
  • Select proper tooling, fixtures, and materials for each job
  • Perform machine setups including offsets, tool changes, and part alignment
  • Measure and inspect parts using precision measuring tools (micrometers, calipers, height gauges, bore gauges, etc.)
  • Maintain tight tolerances and ensure parts meet quality requirements
  • Perform basic troubleshooting of machining issues (tool wear, chatter, dimension drift, etc.)
  • Make adjustments to improve part accuracy and surface finish
  • Deburr, clean, and prepare parts for delivery or next operation
  • Maintain a clean and safe work area following shop safety policies
  • Perform routine machine maintenance (lubrication, cleaning, basic checks)
  • Communicate with supervisors, engineers, and other team members regarding job progress and issues
  • Exposure to noise, cutting fluids, metal chips, and moving machinery

  • PPE required (safety glasses, hearing protection, steel toe boots, etc.

  • Ensure a safe working environment

  • Maintain compliance with all policies and procedures set forth by the Company

  • Maintain compliance with Food Safety/HACCP/ GMP guidelines

  • Detailed record keeping- EMAINT, prints for material made

  • Other duties as assigned

This is a safety sensitive position.  This is an on-site position.

Cualificaciones

Qualified candidates for the Machinist position should possess the following:

  • Technical Training a plus

  • 1–5+ years’ experience as a machinist (depending on level)

  • Ability to read and understand blueprints

  • Strong knowledge of machining processes and cutting tools

  • Experience using precision measuring instruments

  • Strong attention to detail and quality workmanship

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team

  • Good math skills including decimals, fractions, and basic geometry

  • Ability to lift up to 90 lbs and stand for extended periods

  • CNC programming experience (G-code) is a plus

  • Experience with Haas controls

  • Experience machining steel, stainless, aluminum, and plastics

  • Read, write & speak the English language preferred

  • Good communication skills are needed

  • Ability to prioritize and multi-task

  • Detail oriented

  • Able to maintain accurate records
