Job Summary
Breakthrough Corporation is a non-profit organization providing services that enable adults with autism to lead purposeful lives at home and in the community. We are seeking caring and patient staff willing to assist adults with autism at their work-site or homes to encourage success.
The MAPs-(Medicaid Alternative Pathways) program, gives people tools, technology, and support needed to meet the goals they set for themselves. The MAPS specialist will assist young adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities establish and achieve goals of employment, independent living, community navigation, building social capital and more.
The MAP Specialist will be participating in situational assessments, providing individualized instruction, and supporting individuals that we serve at home, work, and community to help them achieve positive personal outcomes. You will be part of a professional team responsible for assisting each individual to live a safe, enjoyable life in their community with opportunities to learn and to exercise increasing independence in all areas of life.
Requirements
Qualifications/Abilities
- 18 years of age or older
- Must have a high school diploma or GED
- Relevant experience preferred
- Must be able to successfully pass all background tests and drug screening
- Must maintain all training requirements
- Have a valid TN driver's license and car insurance with a reliable vehicle and willingness to transport person's supported
- Ability to compose, prepare, and type monthly reports

Skills Required
