The Manufacturing Training Coordinator facilitates FGS Manufacturing facilities by developing, standardizing, and delivering structured training programs. This role ensures consistent skills development, documentation control, and hands-on competency validation across multiple sites.

This position serves as a field-based training resource, working closely with site leadership, Quality, and safety teams to strengthen workforce capability, reinforce safe work practices, and promote standardized manufacturing processes. Regular travel between facilities is required to support on-site training and alignment efforts.

PRIMARY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Develop and deliver structured training programs for shop floor employees, focusing on safety, quality, and production processes.
  • Conduct computer-based and hands-on instruction and skills validation for machine operation, fabrication processes, inspection requirements and safety procedures.
  • Standardize training materials, work instructions (WI) and standard operating procedures to ensure consistency across multiple sites.
  • Collaborate with site managers and supervisors to identify skill gaps and implement targeted development plans.
  • Maintain accurate and current training documentations, records, and competency tracking in compliance with regulatory and company standards.
  • Partner with Quality and Safety teams to integrate defect prevention strategies, injury reduction practices, and audit findings into training content.
  • Measure training effectiveness using defined performance metrics and employee feedback and adjust programs to improve learning outcomes.
  • Utilize digital tools, e-learning platforms, and blended learning methods to enhance accessibility across shifts and locations.
  • Travel regularly to manufacturing facilities to deliver on-site training and ensure alignment of training practices.
  • Promote a safe work environment by reinforcing compliance with OSHA, ISO, and company policies.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE QUALIFICATIONS

  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • Associate or bachelor’s degree in relevant field and asset (or equivalent experience).
  • Minimum of 5 years of Fiber Glass manufacturing experience, preferable in a leadership/coaching role
  • Proficiency with computer hardware and software, including MS Office (Excel, Word, Teams, SharePoint) and Adobe.
  • Strong communication, problem-solving, and motivational skills.
  • Flexible scheduling availability.
  • Experience working with diverse teams and departments.
