What You'll Learn:
Our comprehensive training program includes instructor-led classroom learning, online coursework, and hands-on shop experience covering:

  • Shop Safety
  • Precision Machining Technology
  • Basic Math & Blueprint Reading
  • Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing (GD&T)
  • Precision Measurement
  • Basic Shop Machinery
  • Computer Numerical Control (CNC)

What You'll Do:

  • Learn manufacturing skills from experienced professionals
  • Apply classroom knowledge through hands-on work assignments
  • Attend all scheduled classroom and on-the-job training sessions
  • Complete assignments and meet program standards
  • Develop shop floor skills while meeting performance expectations
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area
  • Demonstrate reliability, teamwork, and a willingness to learn every day

Program Start: September 2026

Training Schedule:
Monday through Friday
7:00 a.m. – 3:30 p.m.

Training Location:
Penn United Technologies’ Carl E. Jones Learning Institute
Cabot, PA


Qualifications

Qualifications:
 To be considered for this program, applicants must:

  • Possess a high school diploma or GED equivalent
  • Successfully complete an aptitude assessment and interview
  • Possess strong mechanical aptitude, math skills, and problem-solving ability
  • Have a strong work ethic of dependability as demonstrated in regular attendance and punctuality
  • Be willing to work daylight, afternoon, and/or midnight shifts as needed after classroom training is complete
  • Successfully pass a pre-employment physical, drug screen, and criminal background check

     Preferred but not required:  Vocational or technical school training
