DUTIES: BorgWarner Noblesville LLC Inc. seeks a Manufacturing Test Development Engineer based out of our office at 2151 E Lincoln Road, Kokomo, Indiana 46902. Note, this is a hybrid position whereby the employee will work from the aforementioned address and from home. Hence, the employee must live within a reasonable commuting distance of the aforementioned address. Note, this position requires domestic and international travel, as needed up to 20%.
Responsibilities include the following: develop and install in manufacturing plants an automated test solution for manufacturing engine and/or battery management controllers; work with a BorgWarner standard PXI system built on TestStand, LabView, and LabWindows CVI; use TestStand and Switch Executive to build an automated functional test; create test mechanization; write SOW to purchase fixtures, load box, and testers; collaborate with systems and electrical design engineers to define test requirements, product test software, and test loads; debug test software and hardware systems; implement Six Sigma test limits; conduct peer reviews of test plan; install test setup in manufacturing plant on time; complete test requirements documentation; and work with team to review and add tests for functional safety.
REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Electrical Engineering Technology, or closely related and 36 months of experience in the job offered or related. Experience must include: Experience writing functional test software; Experience using statistics to set test limits; Experience reading electrical schematics; Experience debugging functional test equipment; Experience using TestStand to create functional test plan. Note, this position requires domestic and international travel, as needed up to 20%.
