As a Manufacturing Technician, Assembly & Prep team at Carbon Robotics is responsible for the assembly, testing, and quality control of all sub-assembly parts. This role requires attention to detail, technical skills, and the ability to work as part of a team to ensure the production of high-quality, reliable products

What you’ll do::

  • Assembly:
    • Assemble Sub assembly components according to detailed engineering specifications and assembly instructions.
    • Use hand and power tools to assemble mechanical components, optical components, and electronic parts.
    • Ensure that all components are correctly aligned and securely fastened.
  • Calibration:
    • Calibrate scanning devices to ensure accurate and precise operation.
    • Adjust and fine-tune optical components, sensors, and other critical elements as needed.
  • Quality Control:
    • Document and report any issues to the Manufacturing Supervisor for resolution.
    • Conduct functional tests to verify that components meet performance specifications.
  • Documentation:
    • Maintain accurate and detailed records of assembly, calibration, and quality control processes.
    • Update and complete production logs, checklists, and other relevant documentation.
  • Collaboration:
    • Work closely with the Manufacturing Supervisor and other team members to meet production goals and deadlines.
    • Communicate effectively with engineers and product designers to address technical issues and improvements.
  • Safety:
    • Adhere to all safety protocols and guidelines to ensure a safe working environment.
    • Report any safety hazards or concerns to the appropriate personnel.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities for Success:

  • High school diploma or equivalent; additional technical education or certifications are a plus.
  • Willingness to work across multiple functional teams  required
  • Prior experience in manufacturing or assembly of electronic or mechanical components is preferred.
  • Strong attention to detail and the ability to follow precise assembly instructions.
  • Proficiency with hand and power tools.
  • Basic understanding of optical systems, electronics, and sensors is a plus.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic manufacturing environment.
  • Effective communication and teamwork skills.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to lift, carry, and move equipment weighing up to 50lbs.
  • Ability to stand or sit for extended periods during assembly and calibration tasks.

Carbon Robotics follows equitable hiring practices. Flexibility in our hiring process allows hiring of talent at levels different from what are posted.  The compensation range outlined is based on a target budgeted base salary. Individual base pay depends on various factors such as relevant experience and skill, Interview assessments and responsibility of role, job duties/requirements. Offers are determined using our equitable hiring practices. Carbon Robotics offers additional compensation in the form of benefits premiums, pre-IPO stock options and On Target Earning commissions for appropriate positions. Base pay ranges are reviewed each year. We are committed to the principle of pay equity – paying employees equitably for similar work.

$21$28 USD
