This role is ideal for a manufacturing engineer with a passion and knack for coding and systems integration. You will serve as a key technical leader responsible for developing custom applications that enhance shop-floor operations and driving the successful implementation, customization, and support of key enterprise manufacturing systems across multiple plant locations.

Responsibilities

  • Custom Application Development: Gather operational requirements, design, code, test, deploy, and support custom software applications and tools that streamline manufacturing floor operations and boost productivity.

  • Enterprise Systems Implementation & Support: Assist with the end-to-end implementation, integration, and continuous improvement of critical plant systems, including ERP, TMS, MES, and EAM.

  • Cloud Release & Patch Management: Continuously monitor and review patch notes and release documentation for multi-tenant cloud-hosted systems; proactively prepare plant teams, systems, and processes for incoming software updates and feature changes.

  • Multi-Plant Coordination: Drive technology standardization and execute development and system implementation projects across multiple manufacturing plant locations.

  • Hands-on experience coding custom applications (e.g., Python, C#, Java, Web Stack, or relevant low-code/no-code platforms) tailored for operational or industrial use.

  • Working knowledge of key enterprise software platforms, including ERP, TMS, MES, and EAM (preferably multi-tenant SaaS/cloud platforms).

  • Demonstrated ability to manage the full software development lifecycle (SDLC)—from requirements gathering and solution design to testing, deployment, and ongoing support.
