Job Title: Manufacturing Support Engineer
Work Location: Pune
- Relevant experience required (in years): Minimum 03 years of experience with JDE or equivalent ERP system, including data analysis and data integrity audits. Experience in a manufacturing industry and supporting factory planning activities is preferred.
Required Skills & Competencies:
- At least a bachelor’s degree in engineering (e.g., Mechanical/Production/Industrial Engineering) or data analytics (e.g., Management Information Systems/Statics/Business Analytics)
- Excellent English Writing and Speaking skills.
- Knowledge of JDE or equivalent ERP system.
- Knowledge of MS Office package (Especially Outlook and Excel)
- Knowledge of arithmetic, algebra, geometry, calculus, statistics, and their applications
- Knowledge of factory planning activities.
- Preferred: Basic knowledge of blueprints, welding symbols, material properties and equipment for metal manufacturing (laser cutting, bending, welding, powder coating etc.)
- Preferred: Knowledge of raw materials, production processes, quality control, costs, and other techniques for maximizing the effective manufacture and distribution of goods
- Being professional and courteous in all verbal and written communications with co-workers, vendors, superiors and customers
- Understand privacy rules and follow protocol.
Role & Responsibilities:
Your Role
The Manufacturing System Analyst will estimate manufacturing time and ensure that databases are promptly and accurately maintained. You will be responsible for ensuring that new orders are entered into the system, and that the information correctly reflects our factory’s capabilities. You will also need knowledge of planning task to support factory planning team. This role will be supporting a factory located in Georgia, USA.
Your tasks and responsibilities
- Promptly process all new orders within our JD Edwards ERP system
- Update the Bill of Materials (BOM) to reflect the materials used in the United States
- Determine the manufacturing routings and machine burdens
- Establish customer and internal engineering change orders and ensure changes become effective
- Perform customer service duties, and maintain a positive relationship with our internal buyers
- Provide prompt feedback on order problems and ensure that issues are quickly resolved
- Assist in implementing, and monitoring key performance indicators and metrics
- Support the factory planning team by running macros to generate workload and planboard reports
- Assist the factory planning team in processing new orders in JDE
- Perform weekly JDE audits
- Create work instructions for ERP and audit processes.
- Perform other assignments as directed by the Manufacturing Engineering Manager
