Starting Salary: From $60,000 annually, with higher compensation available depending on experience.
We are looking for a Manufacturing Supply Chain Coordinator to support purchasing, materials planning, and inventory management within a production environment. This role helps ensure manufacturing teams have the materials they need by coordinating procurement activities, maintaining planning data, and supporting production schedules through effective material management.
The ideal candidate has experience with purchasing, production planning, ERP/MRP systems, and inventory control in a manufacturing setting.
Primary Responsibilities
- Coordinate purchasing and material planning activities for assigned products and manufacturing programs.
- Procure raw materials, electrical components, and other production supplies needed to support manufacturing operations.
- Track materials from purchase through receiving, inventory, production, and final shipment.
- Utilize ERP/MRP systems to create, manage, and update purchasing, planning, and inventory transactions.
- Partner with production, inventory, warehouse, and operations teams to maintain material availability and support manufacturing schedules.
- Monitor inventory levels and planning data to improve material flow and reduce shortages.
- Source electrical components, including wire, cable, energy meters, and other manufacturing materials.
- Identify potential supply issues and work with suppliers and internal teams to resolve shortages before production is impacted.
- Maintain accurate purchasing records, planning information, and inventory data within the ERP system.
- Support continuous improvement efforts related to procurement, inventory accuracy, and production planning.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 5 years of experience in a Buyer, Planner, Purchasing, Materials Planning, or Buyer/Planner position.
- Experience supporting manufacturing or production operations.
- Strong knowledge of ERP/MRP software such as SAP, Oracle, NetSuite, or similar systems.
- Experience with purchasing, production planning, inventory management, and material control processes.
- Background sourcing and purchasing electrical components and manufacturing materials.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to work effectively across multiple departments.
Preferred Qualifications
- APICS certification or other supply chain certifications.
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Engineering, or a related field.
