Manufacturing Services Scheduler is responsible for planning, organizing, and controlling the Services schedule to ensure products, parts and services are efficiently scheduled on time, and with optimal use of resources?
Core Responsibilities
- Plan and manage production schedules: Determine what products to produce, when, and on which machines or production lines, using job orders, inventory data, and customer due dates?
- Coordinate with departments: Work closely with production, sales, purchasing, and management to align schedules with delivery commitments and resource availability?
- Monitor and adjust schedules: Track production progress, update schedules for changes in material availability, capacity constraints, or customer requirements, and resolve delays?
- Manage resources: Ensure labor, materials, and equipment are available and utilized efficiently to minimize costs and avoid downtime?
- Inventory control: Monitor stock levels to prevent shortages that could delay production or delivery?
- Reporting: Generate production reports, track performance metrics, and communicate status updates to management and stakeholders?
- Problem-solving: Identify and address issues affecting production, implement corrective actions, and maintain smooth operations?
Requirements
Key Skills and Requirements
- Education: Associate or bachelor’s degree in operations, supply chain, industrial technology, or related field; some employers accept experience-based hiring?
- Experience: Demonstrated scheduling or production experience; 2+ years in similar roles often preferred?
- Technical skills: Familiarity with APS (Advanced Planning and Scheduling) software, logistics planning tools, and production management systems?
- Soft skills: Strong organizational, communication, and time management abilities; ability to multitask and work collaboratively?
- Certifications: APICS CPIM or CSCP can be advantageous

Skills Required
- Associate or bachelor's degree in operations, supply chain, industrial technology, or related field
