Your Role
As the Manufacturing Engineer, you will report directly to the Chief Technology Officer (CTO). Your daily schedule will include frequent interactions with a multi-disciplinary team, across teams from design to manufacturing to operations. You will need to work in Singapore. Remote work is not an option.
Your Job Scope
- Manufacturing Plan: Coordinate with engineering and production departments to develop and implement Manufacturing Plan for products, by drafting work instructions & test plans, preparing BOMs, communicating to suppliers and training manufacturing personnel.
- Technical Support and Diagnosis: Technical support and troubleshooting of production issues related to equipment, processes, quality, controls, and systems. Identify defects or deviations from quality standards and perform root cause analysis to determine the underlying reasons for these issues
- Quality: Upkeep work quality on the manufacturing floor, by implementing quality control procedures such as: comprehensive incoming and outgoing quality inspections, compliance to work instructions, and implementing corrective actions on any lapses
- Record-keeping: Maintain detailed records of quality tests, inspections, and audits. Generating reports on quality performance and communicating quality issues to relevant stakeholders.
- Continuous Improvement: Identify areas of improvement from assembly procedures to tooling, to enhance product quality, manufacturing efficiency, and reduce defects
- Training: Provide training to staff on quality standards, procedures, and best practices to ensure that quality requirements are consistently met
- Supplier Quality Management: Collaborating with suppliers to ensure that raw materials and components meet quality specifications and standards.
- Compliance with Regulations: Ensuring that manufacturing processes comply with industry regulations, standards, and best practices to meet legal requirements and customer expectations.
- Provide day-to-day technical and engineering support to the operating areas.
Desired Qualities
- (MUST) Bachelor's Degree in Electronics, Computer or equivalent Engineering
- 3-6 years of experience in quality engineering or in manufacturing
- Working knowledge of product development and manufacturing processes
- Experience with quality control and test procedures for tests such as in EMI-EMC, Vibration, temperature, humidity testing is a plus.
- Experience with Altium designer and other equivalent PCB CAD software.
- Experience with any 2D schematic, wire harnessing and cable assembly design software.
- Good analytical and problem-solving skills
- Able to multi-task and able to work in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work in a cross-functional team environment
- Excellent organization and time-management
