Overview : 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science, Quality Engineering, or related technical discipline. Minimum 5+ years of experience in software quality assurance, testing, validation, or quality engineering environments. 
  • This position is focused on ensuring product quality through software validation, process quality, testing activities, and cross-functional collaboration across engineering and manufacturing teams. 
  • The role involves developing and executing test strategies, supporting quality planning activities, identifying and resolving defects, maintaining quality documentation, and contributing to risk management processes throughout product development and manufacturing lifecycles. 
  • The engineer will collaborate closely with Software Engineering, Product Management, Manufacturing, Technical Teams, and Quality stakeholders to ensure products meet functional, performance, and quality requirements before deployment and release. 
  • This position requires strong analytical skills, structured problem-solving abilities, experience with quality systems and testing methodologies, and the ability to support product quality in fast-paced development environments. 

Key Responsibilities : 
 Software Quality Assurance & Validation 

  • Develop and execute test plans, test cases, and test suites for software and embedded systems 
  • Perform functional, regression, user acceptance, and production environment testing 
  • Validate software functionality across multiple systems and platforms 
  • Support verification and validation activities throughout the product lifecycle  

Defect Management & Root Cause Analysis 

  • Identify, document, prioritize, and track defects using tools such as Jira 
  • Collaborate with development teams to investigate and resolve software issues 
  • Support corrective action activities for recurring quality concerns 
  • Drive issue resolution through structured analysis and follow-up validation 

Risk Assessment & Quality Planning 

  • Support risk assessment activities and evaluate detection and prevention controls 
  • Participate in development and maintenance of PFMEAs and Control Plans 
  • Assist in defining quality standards and quality assurance methodologies 
  • Support implementation of preventative quality strategies throughout product development 

Cross-Functional Quality Support 

  • Collaborate with Engineering, Product Management, Manufacturing, and Technical teams 
  • Support readiness reviews and quality approvals for product releases 
  • Assist with validation activities, product assessments, and system evaluations 
  • Provide daily quality support to development and manufacturing organizations 

Documentation & Process Management 

  • Translate system requirements into testing documentation and quality protocols 
  • Maintain quality documentation including test procedures, requirements documents, specifications, and validation records 
  • Ensure documentation accuracy and compliance with internal quality standards 
  • Support traceability between requirements, testing, and defect management activities 

Agile & Continuous Improvement 

  • Support Agile development methodologies and SDLC best practices 
  • Evaluate post-release product performance using testing results, analytics, and customer feedback 
  • Identify opportunities to improve testing efficiency and product quality 
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives within quality assurance processes 

Training & Knowledge Sharing 

  • Support onboarding and training of new team members 
  • Share testing best practices, quality standards, and process improvements 
  • Promote a quality-focused culture across project teams 

Profile:  

  • Quality-focused professional with strong attention to detail and a structured approach to problem solving 
  • Comfortable operating between software development, product teams, and manufacturing organizations 
  • Strong analytical mindset with the ability to identify risks before they become production issues 
  • Effective communicator capable of working with technical and non-technical stakeholders 
  • Self-motivated and able to manage multiple priorities in fast-paced environments

  • Organized and disciplined in documentation, testing, and process execution 

Must Have:  

  • 5+ years of experience in Software Quality Assurance, Testing, or Quality Engineering 
  • Experience developing and executing test plans and test cases 
  • Strong understanding of Agile methodologies and Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) 
  • Experience with defect tracking and quality management tools such as Jira 
  • Experience performing functional, regression, and user acceptance testing 
  • Strong documentation and traceability skills 
  • Experience working cross-functionally with engineering and business teams 
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills 
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities 

Good to Have: 

  • Experience supporting embedded systems validation 
  • Experience with manufacturing quality processes 
  • PFMEA and Control Plan experience 
  • ISTQB Certification 
  • PRINCE2 Foundation or Practitioner Certification 
  • Experience with YouTrack or other test management systems 
  • Experience supporting product launch activities 
  • Experience working in automotive or highly regulated industries
