What you will be doing:

We are currently recruiting for a Manufacturing Quality Engineer to join the Core Manufacturing team at Rolls-Royce Submarines in Derby.

You will be working with a joint functional team in a busy operational environment ensuring that manufacturing Compliance and Quality is maintained and continually improved. You will be responsible for the governance of Quality data and Systems, linking in with the Production Team, Manufacturing Engineering and Support functions.

Responsibilities:

With this exciting opportunity you will get a chance to be involved with the following:

• Ownership and management of Quality Metrics and Governance.

• Management of Non-Conformance, including Root Cause Investigations.

• Delivering the Quality Framework and direction within the joint manufacturing team.

• Influencing Quality change and culture within the manufacturing environment.

• Conducting audits and managing findings.

Who we’re looking for:

• Previous experience with a Manufacturing environment holding a Quality or Improvement role.

• Good base knowledge of Quality Systems and frameworks.

• Problem Solving methodology knowledge.

• Working within in team-based system and ability to communicate with people at all levels and in all departments.

• Experience in using SAP, MS Excel and Word would be an advantage.

To work for Rolls-Royce Submarines, you need to hold a Security Check (SC) clearance without any caveats to that clearance. Rolls-Royce will support the application for Security Clearance if you don’t currently already have this in place.
