About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Manufacturing Project Coordinator to oversee the execution of custom power equipment projects from order release through production and final shipment. This role is ideal for a professional with a dedicated project management background who thrives in a manufacturing environment and enjoys coordinating multiple teams to keep projects on schedule.

The successful candidate will partner with engineering, purchasing, production, quality, logistics, and leadership teams to ensure projects move efficiently through every stage while meeting quality and delivery expectations.

What You'll Do

    Project Planning & Execution
    • Lead multiple manufacturing projects from order entry through fabrication, assembly, testing, and shipment.
    • Build and maintain project schedules, milestones, and deliverables.
    • Track project progress and proactively address issues that could impact timelines, quality, or costs.
    • Maintain organized project documentation and communicate updates across departments.
    • Ensure alignment between engineering, purchasing, production, quality, and logistics teams.
    • Manufacturing & Production Coordination
      • Monitor projects throughout sheet metal fabrication, busbar fabrication, mechanical assembly, and related production processes.
      • Collaborate with production leadership to balance workloads, resources, and manufacturing priorities.
      • Coordinate schedule adjustments and recovery plans when unexpected challenges occur.
      • Work with supply chain teams to monitor material availability and minimize delays.
      • Support initiatives that improve production flow, schedule performance, and operational efficiency.
      • Communication & Stakeholder Support
        • Serve as the primary internal contact for project-related updates.
        • Provide regular progress reports, milestone tracking, and schedule forecasts to leadership.
        • Communicate project risks, delays, and action plans clearly and professionally.
        • Facilitate project meetings and ensure follow-up items are completed.
        • Build strong partnerships across operations, engineering, purchasing, and management teams.
        • Reporting & Performance Monitoring
          • Maintain project dashboards and tracking tools.
          • Measure key performance indicators such as on-time delivery, milestone completion, and schedule adherence.
          • Analyze project data and recommend process improvements.
          • Assist leadership with forecasting, resource planning, and workload management.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, Operations Management, Supply Chain, or a related discipline (or equivalent experience).
  • 3–7 years of experience in a dedicated Project Manager role within manufacturing, production operations, or a similar industrial environment.
  • Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
  • Ability to successfully manage multiple projects in a fast-paced setting.
  • Experience using Microsoft Office and ERP/MRP systems.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience supporting the production of switchgear, power distribution equipment, PDUs, RPPs, electrical enclosures, busbar systems, control panels, or similar industrial products.
  • Familiarity with custom sheet metal fabrication, busbar fabrication, welding, machining, mechanical assembly, and production scheduling.
  • Experience in engineer-to-order (ETO) or configure-to-order manufacturing environments.
  • Understanding of bills of material (BOMs), engineering drawings, manufacturing processes, and routing structures.
  • PMP certification or formal project management training is a plus.
