Job Summary:

We are seeking a self-motivated Process / Quality Engineer to be located in Pune, India to support production operations, applying engineering techniques, assists in the improvement of manufacturing processes, assess product quality, and drive continuous improvement activities in XPEL’s manufacturing process.

Core Duties

  • Technical resource for on-going production activities: monitoring, establishing & improving production quality, general production support, documentation & analysis of production KPIs.
  • Collaborate with Quality team to ensure quality metrics are achieved and develop cadence for communication to internal and external stakeholders.
  • Developing site specific quality processes and collaborate with Quality team to establish training process.
  • Responsible for reviewing safety standards to ensure the Internal and External stakeholders are properly meeting these guidelines.
  • Leads site specific quality improvement, yield improvement & corrective action projects with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Recommends manufacturing processes designed to be efficient, cost-effective, and to promote quality and reliability.
  • Assesses current equipment and processes and makes recommendations for changes. Helps to troubleshoot and repair equipment. Shows results in reports. May train personnel in equipment usage and processes.
  • Collaborate with research and development team as technologies transition to pilot & scale-up environments to ensure a successful commercialization.

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Chemical, Industrial or Materials Engineering preferred; in lieu of a degree, candidates with significant operational coatings or films experience are encouraged to apply.
  • 5+ years of industry experience preferred.
  • Ideal candidates will have polymer films or coatings experience with significant involvement in process engineering, production operations and/or quality control environments.
  • Analytical skills for troubleshooting designs not working as planned, asking the right questions, and finding answers that work.
  • Familiarity with statistics & hypothesis-driven problem-solving methodologies; for example: Six Sigma, DOE, 8D, DMAIC, Lean, etc.
  • Interpersonal skills developing positive working relationships with other employees based on a cross functional team
  • Desire to lead projects with cross-functional stakeholders.
  • Process-orientation with an attention to detail.
  • Ability to travel 50-75%

Skills Required
