Position Summary:
The Sales Order Processor is responsible for accurately entering, assigning, and tracking customer sales orders within the company’s database system. This role supports order fulfillment by maintaining organized records, monitoring order status, coordinating with shipping and inventory teams, and providing timely updates on order progress. The position requires strong attention to detail, effective communication, and the ability to work collaboratively across departments to ensure efficient and accurate order processing.
Tasks/Duties/Responsibilities
- Assign and allocate orders within ERP system
- Maintain and organize record and filing system(s) to facilitate access and retrieval
- Engage in data entry (entering request and orders)
- Assist with receiving customer orders
- Assist with inventory and tag preparation
- Monitor and track status of production orders
- Organize/maintain correspondence, files, and records
- Provide updates regarding order status (hot orders and back orders)
- Additional duties as assigned by supervisor
Knowledge/Skills/Requirements
- 2-year degree preferred
- 2+ years of previous administrative or clerical experience
- Excellent verbal/written communication and phone skills
- Proficient with Microsoft office products (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and related computer applications
- Strong typing and data entry skills
- Familiarity with operations of general office equipment to include printers, copiers, faxes, scanners, etc.
- Proven organizational and time management skills; attention to detail
- Cooperatively works and interacts with members of various departments
