Your role and responsibilities (Mandatory)
In this role, you will have the opportunity to gain vocational experience through a temporary work placement. Each day, you will acquire knowledge by performing tasks as directed. You will also showcase your expertise by supporting ABB’s operations and enhancing personal education/employment opportunities.
The work model for the role is: onsite
This role is contributing to the Electrification Division in Apodaca.
You will be mainly accountable for:
  • Support process development and industrialization through new process implementation, equipment validation, and fixture/poka-yoke design.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives using Lean Manufacturing tools such as Kaizen, 5S, VSM, line balancing, and cost-saving projects.
  • Promote safety and ergonomics by supporting audits, incident resolution, MOC documentation, and ergonomic assessments.
  • Analyze data and standardize processes through time studies, process documentation, work instructions, and visual aids.
  • Collaborate across functions to execute improvement projects, support manufacturing operations, and enhance overall process performance.

Qualifications for the role (Mandatory)
  • You will graduate in December 2027 or June 2028 from careers like Manufacturing, Mechanical, Industrial Engineering.
  • You enjoy working with lean manufacturing tools and the electric industry market
  • Possess an enhanced knowledge of Solidworks, AutoCad
  • You are passionate about teamwork and collaboration.
  • You are at ease communicating in Advanced English

Skills Required

  • Graduating December 2027 or June 2028 in Manufacturing, Mechanical, or Industrial Engineering
  • Familiarity and enjoyment working with Lean Manufacturing tools (Kaizen, 5S, VSM, line balancing)
