Objetivo do Cargo (Role)
1) Responsible for part of the SKU's manufactured at Buenos Aires Site, also sharing some core activities with his peers in Engineering, Supply, Quality and EHS on all day-to-day activities related to the production area (like dispensing, line balances, SOP execution, IMEX (Integrated Manufacturing Excellence culture & program), Budget efforts, Infrastructure Projects, etc...)
2) Will interact and providing support whenever necessary (and also work jointly with) to the Pfizer's South America Cluster manufacturing operation, which includes a second manufacturing Site unit located in São Paulo area (Itapevi city) in Brazil.
3) The professional will provide support to continuous improvement projects in all areas (including Operation redesign to address lower volume absorption threshold) and provide suitable training on problem resolution methodology and process improvements; and manage the Site's KPI's.
4) Also will be currently responsible for the small Technical Services team & Troubleshooting Pilot Plant. Will coordinate all activities related to troubleshooting for product deviations studies related to API/raw materials, reformulations. Also will provide support to other areas related to product optimization and process robustness; will support technology transfer processes across region; and support all documentation activities aligned with production and regulatory requirements with focus in manufacturing and packaging area.
Additionally to leading the Production and TS areas, the professional will provide support to continuous improvement projects and DI initiatives (Data Integrity) in all areas; plus will be able provide suitable training on problem resolution methodology and process improvements; and manage Site's production related KPI's.
It is expected that the professional will act in alignment with manufacturing division objectives and in total adherence to Pfizer values.
Principais Responsabilidades (Responsibilities)
  • Day to day operation: for the entire Production area (manufacturing and packaging)
  • Special projects: Support all Site's Infrastructure projects plus any operation redesign initiative to address lower volume absorption threshold, if necessary.
  • Culture transformation: Based on Pfizer values, work in conjunction with his peers (Engineering, Supply, Quality, EHS, etc...) work to deliver the best scenario and transform the production area in a more Effective and Lean operation
  • Responsible for the Six sigma culture Management and colleagues training (Green & Yellow belts) inside area as well as production specific balance score card and KPI's management
  • Follow-up current KPI's and develop new ones, mapping all process opportunities in all areas, identifying risks and anticipating actions related to derailed indicators.
  • To promote continuous improvement activities/initiatives, aiming to improve product cost and operational efficiency.
  • Support all areas in cost reduction and budget preparation initiatives.
  • Identify colleague's development and training needs and sponsor SW (Standard Work) and Opex M1 projects in production area, by enhancing the use of M1, DEMAIC, 5S, etc...
  • Provide support to DI (Data Integrity) initiatives in production
  • Support PGS "Tier meetings" in all levels of the organization, from shop floor to upper management. Evaluate meeting effectiveness and evaluate opportunities where applicable.
  • Map opportunities and develop projects in the productive areas (production, quality, warehouse, maintenance, etc...) aiming for production process and resources optimization.
  • Support corporate initiatives related to organizational redesign and optimization process, following-up those initiatives with managers and areas.
  • Work jointly Supply area, revisit periodically installed capacity figures and in the production bottlenecks.
  • Work on process simplification and look for resources' optimization, with total focus on patient, product quality, regulatory and compliance.

Competências Específicas - Técnicas/ Funcionais/ Profissionais (Competences)
  • Long experience in manufacturing area, managing production teams under challenging circumstances and/or stretch goals
  • Knowledgeable of basic six sigma tools (DEMAIC) and familiarized with all PGS process improvement initiatives (CIP, 5S, SW, IMEX, etc...)
  • Experience on process/tech transfer
  • Experience on process improvement and/or troubleshooting
  • Experience in dealing with regulatory agencies in LA (ANVISA, INVIMA, etc...)
  • Familiarized with Green/Black Belt certifications and/or Lean/Six Sigma.
  • Advanced knowledge on Excel and Statistics
  • Knowledge on basic project management tools.

Experiência e Conhecimento (Expertise and Knowledge)
  • Native fluency in Spanish.
  • Fluent in English and Portuguese (the second is just desirable)
  • Minimum requirement: 5 - 10 years working as production manager
  • Pharmaceutical / Engineering degree is a must
  • Superior soft and communication skills to manage shop-floor and ability to deal with local union.
  • Strong team building capabilities to interact/ negotiate/ with peers and to rapidly bond with Site leadership team.
  • Positive and Joyful vision of life
  • Positive attitude towards new experiences and about interacting with diverse places/cultures
  • Experience and/or responsibility with capital projects related to manufacturing process optimization.
  • Ability to interact with multidisciplinary / matrixial teams. Strong NTM (notification to management) skills.
  • Experience on industrial field with 5 years with some responsibility for manufacturing E2E projects will be desirable

Mandatory
  • Must leave in Buenos Aires area.
  • Must be physically at the operation on a daily basis. Not a remote/virtual position.
