Position Purpose
Support the New Product Engineering Department in all areas as required, cutting, forming, welding, machining, and assembly. Identifying and implementing improvements in the manufacturing process and training associates in the correct methods and developing their systems skills
Essential Functions:
- Developing knowledge of the new product manufacturing processes and transferring that knowledge to the production personnel.
- Perform basic robotic welding programming to produce prototype parts and perform process development activities.
- Perform hand welding operations to meet the requirements of weld standards.
- Perform low volume trial production runs.
- Perform inspection operations and collect all necessary data to determine process capability and part quality.
- Fabricate jigs and fixtures as required.
- Work with Engineering on new fabricated products. Assist in providing prototype suspension system components to evaluate and validate designs.
- Provide a clean and safe work environment by performing general housekeeping and eliminating hazards.
- All other duties as assigned.
Education and Training
- Associates Degree or 3 years’ experience in manufacturing engineering environment.
Minimum Qualifications
- Hands-on experience programming machining centers or welding robots.
- Ability to read blueprints.
- Ability to read and utilize basic measuring tools.
- Knowledge in CNC or CMM programming.
- Knowledge of fixture and tooling operations.
- Computer experience (Windows, File Management, MS Office).
- Identify, procure, and stock raw materials and operating supplies.
- Proficient hands-on mechanical orientation.
- Self-motivated, results oriented.
- Team approach to problem solving.
- Ability to manage, prioritize and complete multiple tasks on a time bound schedule.
- Professionalism and integrity to communicate and work with employees at all levels of the organization.

Pay Range55,000-65,000
