Schneller LLC is seeking an experienced Manufacturing Engineering Manager to lead strategic manufacturing initiatives that directly impact operational excellence, business growth, and innovation across our organization.

 

This is more than a traditional engineering management role. As a key member of our operations leadership team, you will work closely with senior leadership to develop manufacturing strategies, lead capital investment initiatives, drive continuous improvement, and successfully transition new products from development into full-scale production.

What You'll DoLead Engineering Excellence
  • Lead, mentor, and develop a team of Manufacturing and Production Engineers.
  • Foster a culture of accountability, innovation, safety, and continuous improvement.
  • Build technical expertise across manufacturing processes and technologies.
Drive Strategic Manufacturing Initiatives
  • Own the development, prioritization, and execution of the annual capital expenditure (CapEx) portfolio.
  • Develop business cases, perform ROI analysis, and manage capital projects from concept through implementation.
  • Create manufacturing strategies that support capacity expansion, automation, scalability, and future growth.
Deliver Operational Performance
  • Lead year-over-year productivity improvement initiatives to offset inflation and improve profitability.
  • Improve manufacturing processes through new technologies, automation, and process optimization.
  • Support new product introductions and successfully scale development projects into production.
  • Manage process changes, product non-conformances, and manufacturing improvements.
Collaborate Across the Business
  • Partner with Operations, Engineering, R&D, Quality, Maintenance, Production, and Commercial teams to achieve business objectives.
  • Utilize project management tools and methodologies to manage timelines, budgets, resources, and project deliverables.
  • Communicate effectively with stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
What We're Looking ForRequired Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Chemical, Polymer, Materials, Mechanical, or related discipline).
  • 8+ years of engineering leadership or management experience within a manufacturing environment.
  • Proven experience leading teams and driving operational improvements.
  • Strong project management, prioritization, and organizational skills.
  • Excellent problem-solving and root cause analysis capabilities.
  • Experience with Lean Manufacturing principles and continuous improvement methodologies.
  • Knowledge of SPC (Statistical Process Control) and quality systems.
  • Strong communication and leadership skills.
Preferred Experience
  • Manufacturing experience in chemicals, plastics, coatings, converting, laminating, printing, embossing, or related process industries.
  • Experience with ISO 9000 or similar quality management systems.
  • Knowledge of process control systems and automation technologies.
  • Experience managing capital projects and manufacturing scale-up initiatives.
