The Role:
As a Manufacturing Engineering within CCA Autonomous Material Movement Technology Team (part of the ARC organization,) you will take the lead for scoping, project management, and deployments of Autonomous Mobile Equipment (AME) for the CCA facilities.
Provide input, support and jointly develop long term capacity / operational business plan. Work with local business units to ensure that resources are available to execute to the plan. Drive the implementation of common global processes, policies. Responsible to foster the culture of continuous improvement and best practice sharing and implementation. This position demands strong leadership, communication, and the ability to influence cross-functional teams while fostering a culture of accountability, innovation, and continuous improvement.
What You'll Do:
- Set and communicate the strategic direction for AME deployments within CCA facilities.
- Translate strategic objectives into clear, actionable goals with defined priorities, timelines, and performance metrics.
- Drive execution excellence by monitoring progress, removing barriers, and ensuring timely issue resolution to meet project milestones.
- Prepare and deliver regular leadership updates, highlighting progress, risks, and opportunities.
- Mentor and coach the site your deploying to foster team growth, accountability, and innovation.
- Utilize standard tools, processes, and best practices to ensure consistency across projects.
- Travel 25-30% domestically to support CCA facilities throughout the country. Work will mainly be spread across SE Michigan CCA sites.
Y ou r Skills & Abilities (Required Qualifications):
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in Manufacturing, Engineering, Warehousing, or Automation .
- Strong strategic thinking, communication, and reporting skills.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple and difficult projects and assignments with high level of autonomy and accountability for results.
- Ability to design work operations that meet safety, quality, and efficiency requirements.
- Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing Processes and GMS Principles and Elements.
- High level of analytical ability to make difficult decisions and solve complex/unusual problems.
- Ability to deal with high levels of ambiguity, make assumptions, and support decisions.
- Ability to teach and train others including coaching/facilitation skills.
- Demonstrated ability to work with minimal supervision and learn quickly.
What Will Give You a Competitive Edge (Preferred Qualifications):
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Engineering, or related field
- Deep understanding of material flow automation principles and deployment strategies.
- Proven ability to influence, align, and gain buy-in from stakeholders across multiple functions and organizational levels.
- Knowledge and ability to implement and coach GMS principles.
- GMOS experience
- Proficiency with AutoCAD

This role is categorized as onsite. This means the selected candidate is expected to report to a specific location on a full-time basis.
The selected candidate will be required to travel on a regular basis (25-50%) for this role.
This job is not eligible for relocation benefits. Any relocation costs would be the responsibility of the selected candidate.
This position requires the ability to legally operate a motor vehicle on a regular basis. A company vehicle will be provided for this role with successful completion of a Motor Vehicle Report review.
