Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Create and maintain work definition for product manufacturing. This includes maintaining routings and validating the accuracy by performing time studies.
- Develop and update work instructions for technicians to use when manufacturing the product.
- Engage in product automation tasks to drive efficiency.
- Work with design engineers to update designs to improve quality, cycle time, and customer satisfaction.
- Responsible for the development of processes and process instructions by studying product requirements; researching, designing, modifying, and testing manufacturing methods and equipment; conferring with equipment vendors
- Provide manufacturing decision-making information by calculating production, labor, and material costs; reviewing production schedules; estimating future requirements
- Design and implement new manufacturing methodologies for material handling, machining, assembly, etc.
- Conduct feasibility studies of processes to determine manufacturing integrity
- Improve manufacturing efficiency by analyzing and planning work flow
- Interface daily with in-house and customer engineering teams to identify/resolve problems and implement solutions to stabilize product
- Introduce products into the production areas and follow products through the entire process
- Partner with customer engineers to review, communicate and implement engineering change orders and sustain products with cost reduction and yield improvements
- Provide guidance to technicians or others within the department
- Work independently with minimal supervision and periodically mentor junior engineers.
- Ability to sit, stand, walk, bend, and lift up to 50 lbs.
Desired Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Applied knowledge of related manufacturing operations
- Experience with machining processes, ideally stainless steel, welding operations
- Experience with Thermoforming processes would be preferred
- Lean/5S/KanBan experience preferred
- Proficient with Solidworks
- Experience designing and improving mechanical fixtures
- GD&T experience is very desirable
- Excellent time management, organizational, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to exercise discretion and independent judgment
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong MS Office, Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint skills
Desired Education, Certifications, and Experience
- 3-5+ years manufacturing, engineering or related work experience
- Bachelors degree in engineering is required

The pay range for this full-time position is $95,800 to 162,900 exempt per year or $3686 to $6265 biweekly.
Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional job-related factors, including knowledge, skills, experience, tenure, and relevant education or training.
