Manufacturing Engineer Jobs in Andover at Stannah Group - Join Our Team!

We have an exciting opportunity for a Manufacturing Engineer to join Stannah Group based at Global Upholstery Solutions Andover.

This job will involve supporting upholstery and woodworking manufacturing operations, introducing new products and processes, driving continuous improvement initiatives, and delivering measurable cost savings across multiple manufacturing sites.

As the Manufacturing Engineer, you will work 37 hours per week, Monday to Thursday 8:00 to 16.45, Friday 8:00 to 12:00. This job is a permanent contract.

This is a great opportunity for an experienced Manufacturing Engineer who enjoys improving production processes, increasing efficiencies, reducing waste, and supporting the manufacture of high-quality upholstered and timber-framed products.

To be successful as the Manufacturing Engineer, it is essential that you have previous experience in a manufacturing environment with a proven track record of delivering process improvements and cost-saving initiatives. Experience in upholstery, furniture manufacturing, woodworking, CNC machining, automated fabric cutting systems, and Lean Manufacturing would be desirable.

Manufacturing Engineer Responsibilities:

  • Develop and improve manufacturing processes across upholstery, woodworking, and furniture production operations.
  • Support the introduction of new products from concept through to full-scale production.
  • Identify and implement process improvements that increase productivity, reduce waste, and deliver cost savings.
  • Design and implement jigs, fixtures, tooling, and manufacturing aids to improve efficiency and quality.
  • Lead root cause investigations and continuous improvement projects using Lean Manufacturing principles.

Qualifications

Manufacturing Engineer Requirements:

  • Experience working within a manufacturing environment, ideally within upholstery, furniture, woodworking, or a related industry.
  • Demonstrable experience delivering cost savings, process improvements, and operational efficiencies.
  • Knowledge of woodworking processes, timber frame manufacturing, CNC machinery, or automated cutting technologies.
  • Experience using CAD software and interpreting technical drawings.
  • Understanding of Lean Manufacturing, continuous improvement methodologies, and problem-solving techniques.
