Job Summary:
We are seeking a Manufacturing Engineering professional to support machine maintenance operations from a technical and strategic standpoint. This role does not involve hands‑on machine rework. Instead, the candidate will focus on developing and optimizing the Spare Parts strategy, improving procurement efficiency, and supporting maintenance teams through data‑driven engineering practices.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain the Spare Parts strategy for production machines and equipment.
- Perform deep dives of machine components (ie: pumps, motors, drives, valves, seals, cutting tools) to identify OEM Mfg Part numbers
- Identify and qualify reliable suppliers and sourcing options for critical spare parts.
- Analyze existing procurement processes and work with Supply Chain teams to reduce lead times and prevent downtime.
- Support maintenance teams with technical evaluation, documentation, and engineering insights.
- Review machine BOMs, maintenance manuals, and historical failure data to determine critical spares and stocking levels.
- Collaborate with Engineering, Production, and Maintenance teams to ensure alignment on spare parts requirements and machine reliability goals.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
- Knowledge of manufacturing equipment, maintenance processes, and spare parts management.
- Experience with procurement or supplier coordination is an advantage.
- Fluent in Microsoft Tools: Excel and PowerPoint (data analysis, reporting, presentations).
- Perform data analytics on part consumption + part availability + cost to establish strategic order quantities and recommend on-hand quantities.
- Ability to work cross‑functionally with Engineering, Production, and Supply Chain teams.
