Position Purpose:
Develop programs and parameters for production processes including fabricating and machining systems; tooling design, assembly and rebuild; and development support. This will include maintenance responsibilities for repairing and rebuilding equipment that is part of the Vehicle Technology Group (VTG) building.
Essential Functions:
- Assemble the automatic and manually operated machining fixtures and tooling.
- Responsible for repair of equipment and facilities in the Canton CBU facility
- Build components from hand sketches, prints or verbal instruction.
- Build, install, and debug electrical panels, enclosures, and equipment.
- Responsible for operations and skills outside of established procedures
- Identify areas in which tooling, cleanliness, operation sequences, or forming consistency can be improved to increase throughput or product quality.
- Develop process documentation and systems to maintain equipment and facilities.
- Assist in the development of quality systems for new products and processes.
- Assist in the daily troubleshooting of robotic or tooling problems.
- Assist with maintenance area for plant/building.
Education and Training
- Minimum of 3-5 years of professional experience; associates degree in related field is highly desirable.
- Experience and demonstration of capability in Hendrickson manufacturing operation can offset degree preference.
Minimum Qualifications
- Excellent demonstrated mechanical ability required.
- Ability to read and create blueprints.
- Robotic and/or PLC programming experience required.
- Electrical maintenance background required.
