YOUR IMPACT STARTS HERE

We’re looking for a Manufacturing Engineer Intern to join our Manufacturing Team in Brampton, ON.

In this role, you’ll gain hands-on experience supporting manufacturing processes, developing and updating production standards, analyzing operational data, and contributing to continuous improvement initiatives. You’ll work closely with Manufacturing Engineering, Production, and Quality Assurance to support projects that improve productivity, quality, cost, and safety.

This is an opportunity to apply your academic knowledge in a practical manufacturing environment while developing valuable technical and problem-solving skills.

WHAT YOU’LL BUILD & OWN

• Participate in lean manufacturing and continuous improvement initiatives focused on productivity, quality, cost, and safety.
• Create and update method sheets and standard operating procedures for new and existing manufacturing processes.
• Audit and update production standards within electronic databases.
• Create and maintain bills of materials.
• Support Manufacturing Supervisors and Engineers in sourcing tooling, fixtures, and gauges required for manufacturing operations.
• Assist Quality Assurance with identifying and addressing supplier-related issues.
• Support the implementation of engineering change notices.
• Assist the Manufacturing Engineer with machine setup, design activities, and new plant programming.
• Contribute to various Manufacturing Engineering and Quality Assurance projects.

WHAT YOU BRING

• Currently enrolled in an Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or related university degree or college diploma program.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a hands-on manufacturing environment.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills.
• Comfortable using Microsoft Office applications and working with electronic data and documentation.
• A strong interest in manufacturing processes, continuous improvement, and engineering operations.

WHAT SETS YOU APART

• Previous experience in a manufacturing support role and/or shop floor experience.
• Previous hands-on technical, machining, or manufacturing experience.
• Exposure to CNC programming or Mastercam
• Familiarity with lean manufacturing principles, production standards, or continuous improvement processes
