DISHER is currently looking for a Manufacturing Engineer. As part of the team, you will get to partner with a variety of customers on manufacturing and project-based work. As a Manufacturing Engineer, you will communicate with customers, lead and manage projects, and provide manufacturing engineering solutions.

What you will get to do:
Provide excellent engineering solutions and go above and beyond for customers
Communicate with customers on project updates, conception, cleanups, and progress
Assist customers with manufacturing or project-based engineering work
Ensure timeline, budget, and scope are followed for each project
Explore different parts of the engineering within projects
Lead projects and project teams in creating solutions for customer issues
Customize your growth path and work with a coach to develop a 5 and 10-year plan including relevant trainings, certifications, and opportunities
Participate in DISHER internal project teams
What will make you successful:
- Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering, manufacturing, or a similar degree
- 2- 5 years of manufacturing engineering experience
- Experience working with a diverse range of industries
- Lean manufacturing familiarity, including value stream mapping, 5S, standard work, and kaizen/continuous improvement facilitation to drive waste reduction and improved process flow
- Strong communication skills to update and build rapport with customers
- Six Sigma training or certification (Green Belt or higher preferred), with hands-on application of DMAIC problem solving, root cause analysis, and statistical process control (SPC)
- Advanced Manufacturing Engineering experience, including process and line layout design, equipment specification and procurement, installation oversight, and FAT/SAT qualification of new equipment and lines
- Capital project management skills, including developing scopes, budgets, and schedules; coordinating contractors and vendors; and delivering equipment installations and plant expansions on time and on budget
- Hands-on knowledge of manufacturing equipment and processes, with a willingness to step onto the floor and be hands-on when needed
- Previous experience working with quality teams and ability to take quality into account when thinking through runs, lines, and throughputs of installations
- Willingness to do what it takes to provide exceptional service and grow the team
- Must have the current and continuing right to work in the United States of America without restrictions or expirations
Skills Required
- Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering, manufacturing engineering, or a similar discipline
- 2-5 years of manufacturing engineering experience
- Experience working with a diverse range of industries
- Lean manufacturing familiarity, including value stream mapping, 5S, standard work, and kaizen or continuous improvement facilitation
- Strong communication skills for customer updates and relationship building
- Six Sigma training or certification, Green Belt or higher preferred
- Hands-on experience applying DMAIC problem solving, root cause analysis, and statistical process control
- Advanced manufacturing engineering experience with process and line layout design, equipment specification and procurement, installation oversight, and FAT/SAT qualification
- Capital project management experience developing scopes, budgets, and schedules; coordinating contractors and vendors; and delivering installations or plant expansions
- Hands-on knowledge of manufacturing equipment and processes
- Experience working with quality teams and incorporating quality into manufacturing installations
