Manage aircraft configuration in as-built condition for eVTOL prototype manufacturing and assembly. Maintain configuration control, engineering change documentation, BOMs, product structures, and aircraft build data. Collaborate with engineering, manufacturing, and supply chain teams to resolve discrepancies, conduct audits, automate change processes, and improve efficiency. Support project management, KPI tracking, cost and time analysis, quality control, metrology, GD&T, and lean improvement activities.

 As a Mid senior Level Manufacturing engineer - Configuration management, you will be responsible for Configuration management of Aircraft in As-built condition for eVTOL airframes prototype manufacturing & assembly integration. The candidate will be responsible for change processes for manufacturing and engineering documentation & automating the change processes.

  1. Develop and maintain a comprehensive understanding of Aircraft configurations and associated data.
  2. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure accurate and timely configuration management of all aircrafts in as-built condition.
  3. Implement and maintain configuration control processes and procedures to ensure compliance with industry standards and company policies.
  4. Analyze and resolve configuration discrepancies and issues, working closely with engineering, manufacturing, and supply chain teams.
  5. Utilize industry best practices to continuously improve the configuration management process and promote efficiency and accuracy.
  6. Conduct regular audits to ensure data accuracy and completeness, identifying and rectifying any discrepancies.
  7. Develop and maintain configuration documentation, including engineering change orders, bills of material, and other related documents.
  8. Stay up to date with industry trends and advancements in configuration management tools and techniques.
  9. Communicate and collaborate with stakeholders at all levels of the organization to ensure a clear understanding of configuration management processes and procedures.
  10. Awareness on Aircraft change process like MOD Process, Change Requests, EQNs would be an advantage
  11. DMU understanding and navigation of Product Structure with clear understanding.
  12. Knowledge on Aircraft build process // Good understanding of Aircraft Function, Operation & Processes.
  13. Excellent Project Management & stakeholder Management skills to drive the performance KPIs & improvements proactively.
  14. Experience with Excel, PowerPoint / Google suite & PLM
  15. Adhere to project timelines and budgets and quality of output.
  16. Basic knowledge on cost estimation & time study of project execution.
  17. Basic knowledge on Lean Six sigma practices.
  18. Basic knowledge on QMS, QC tools & Metrology
  19. Basic knowledge on GD&T, Fits & assembly

Qualifications:

  1. Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Aerospace or any related field.
  2. Work experience in 2+ years in Configuration management / Technical publication in the aerospace industry.
  3. Familiarity with aircraft build sequences & WBS.
