Working at our McAllen Facility:
The GE Aerospace facility in McAllen is one of our centers of expertise specializing in the repair of engine components used in commercial and military aircraft. These include LPT Nozzles, HPT Nozzles, and HPT Hangars. You’ll find state-of-the-art technologies in CNC, EDM, and Coating as well as advanced technology development within our new Tech Lab.
Role Overview:
The manufacturing engineer (CNC programming/CMM) utilizes expertise in manufacturing processes to support business goals and programs for aircraft engine component repair. Requires strong foundation of functional skills and knowledge of relevant aircraft engine technologies.
Role Responsibilities:
- Responsible for equipment, special tooling, and tool fabrications
- Manage and qualify new and existing aircraft engine component repairs
- Read part drawings and interpreting geometric dimensions and tolerances (GD&T)
- Use computer-aided design (CAD) software in NX, Mastercam and AutoCAD
- Develop and introduction of CNC (3, 4, and 5-Axis) machining programs, Robotic systems & Programming
- Perform CMM programs and solutions for new and existing repairs
- Validate design specifications and shop floor application of NPI, tools, and equipment
- Develops new solutions under guidance and/or in a team setting or based upon precedents in the organizations
- Specifies needs, communicates about project approach, and presents outcomes of research done
- Leads analytical and design activities using proven technologies, vested approaches and methods
- Assists with training of associates and operator
Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college (or a high school diploma/GED with a minimum of 4 years of experience in Manufacturing)
- Minimum of 6 years of experience in Production Process and Equipment Engineering
- Minimum of 8 years in machining programming
- Able to support off shifts and weekends as needed

- Must pass background and drug screens
