The Manufacturing CNC Lathe performs both routine and non-routine, moderately complex CNC functions following appropriate procedures for timely and accurate production.

WHAT YOU'LL DO:

  • Primary duty is to set-up and operate CNC lathes to machine parts to customer requirements. 
  • Must be able to work in a high-volume environment. 
  • Must be able to read basic blueprints and perform basic job shop mathematical calculations. 
  • Familiar with CNC operation and possess a basic understanding of set-ups, tooling, and programming concepts, as well as feeds and speeds. 
  • Must be able to follow written instructions and to work with little supervision. 
  • Basic understanding of true position tolerance and Cartesian coordinate systems. 
  • Cleanliness of the work area and proper handling of tools, equipment, and stock to prevent damage or loss.

Requirements

WHAT YOU'LL NEED:

  • Minimum 3 years CNC job shop experience. 
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. 
  • Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. 
  • Ability to speak effectively to customers or employees of organization.
  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. 
  • Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations. 
  • Requires frequent bending, reaching and lifting of objects weighing up to 25 lbs.
  • Successfully complete Work Steps assessment.

Skills Required
