Lead the I2M process for the factory related to new product development, line extensions, product promotions, design changes, declaration changes and productivity projects. Provide category 'one-channel' interface to Commercial units in-and outside MEU with regard to product sourcing, with R&D for technology applications and to PCM for the I2M process and leads the communication process for Bournville site. Owns the IC/PDR/LR process end to end for the portion of it where Plant input is required. Lead and develop the BDE team and build future technical capabilites for the site, cluster and region.
How you will contribute
You will:

  • Engage professionally with PCMs and other BU representatives to deliver a cooperative change management service on behalf of the plant which is recognised as value added.
  • Engage with cross category teams (within Chocolate) to identify and implement best for business solutions to category based opportunities.
  • Leads the planning and factory implementation of projects, covering: engineering, trials, materials delivery, sample management, coordination of training and project documentation.
  • Engage and support internal cross functional team members to meet Engineering, NPD & change project objectives.
  • Manage the project agenda to create, agree and manage to forecast capital budgets, generate and gain approval of ARs in-line with agreed agenda, and ensure compliance to capital processes.
  • Through clear communication on project objectives, timelines and accountabilities, ensure that change is delivered with all key milestones met.
  • Develop, propose and implement projects against agreed briefs via the I2M process complying with reporting & documentation requirements.
  • Keep stakeholders informed of project progress and ensure that risks are escalated to appropriate levels and corrective actions identified and carried out.
  • Provide expertise on plant technical capability, capacity, potential and constraints to influence and drive MEU sourcing strategies.
  • Work with RD&Q/Commercial teams to develop new products to support brand development and commercial strategy.
  • Provide behavioural leadership to direct reports and broader teams to drive the transformational journey. Demonstrate these and be a leader for implementing/exemplifying MI Values.
  • Drive out cost in the plant through consistently challenging existing systems & processes, ensuring NPD meets agreed plant protocols, complexity is minimised and levels of waste are kept within expectations.


What you will bring
A desire to drive your future and accelerate your career. You will bring experience and knowledge in:

  • Knowledge of the I2M and IIM process, preferred.
  • Extensive, proven experience of manufacturing organisation and project implementation experience.
  • Experience leading and/or commissioning large, complex projects including experience with globalised technology standards and programs (e.g. LOF).
